Description

A short, hard-ish, sweet climb, then a sweet descent with many options at the top.

After crossing under Hwy 1 via the Wilder tunnel, continue past the horse corals, then stay to the right. This is the beginning of the right fork of Engleman's Loop.

There is an initial hard but short climb that then mellows out and continues up at a more modest slope. The road runs on the edge of a meadow and meanders in and out of shade provides by pretty old oak trees.

The last little bit of the climb goes through a really nice oak shaded trail. After a hard sweaty climb the shade feels really nice.

At the top you'll hit the intersection of Engleman's Loop, Long Meadow, and the Wild Boar Trail. Turn left to start the descent on the left fork of Engleman's Loop (Engleman's Loop - Singletrack).

It is a mildly-fun, short descent that is in tree cover. The whole trail has now been rerouted as a singletrack. There are some fun parts, especially toward the end of the trail.
