Description

This is a relatively new trail that connects Coyote Trail (Trail 5619) to FR 462.

Coyote Split is narrow with good turns. It climbs gradually upwards and over a couple of bedrock pavement areas that adds some welcome chunk to the Cedro side of South 14.

Turning east, the trail contours along a low escarpment and makes good use of the exposed bedrock for some more chunky sections.

A great up and back excursion from Coyote Trail (Trail 5619).
