Description

The first trail you come to as you enter Forest Park from downtown Jacksonville, Ol' Miners heads up the hill on the west side of the road just a few hundred feet before you reach the first parking area with information kiosk.

Linking up historic mining road cuts and ditches, this singletrack serves up a surprising variety considering its short length. Fast easy sections, narrow exposed traverses on steep hillsides, and a few tight switchbacks and short steep pitches all conspire to keep you on your toes and grinning!

Although there are several junctions with old road cuts and other trails, there is great signage.

Near the north end of Ol' Miners, cross the non-bike Canyon Falls Trail and continue a few hundred feet to the Norling Road, at a point near the Ridge View trailhead.
