Sections snow bound until July.

Riding the whole trail is best done mid-July through September.

Description

Germania Creek takes you through the heart of the White Clouds and takes you from a high alpine zone down into high desert. Crossing the creek can always be an issue during high water so always exercise care.

There are a number a creek crossings without a bridge so you might as well get your feet wet. There are some technical sections right along the river so remember to ride within your ability and walk when in doubt. Stop and admire the numerable meadows along the way and keep and eye out for wildlife.

This trail is used to create a number of different loops, but even ridden alone be prepared for a serious time commitment since the trail is rocky and will take a toll on mind and body.

The trail can be accessed from Pole Creek road or the East Fork Road.
