Description

This ride starts from the north side of the trail but there are several entrances and clockwise or counter-clockwise are acceptable any day. Be careful of young and new riders as this is the place where many start mountain biking.

The trail is all within a low woodlands area that is teeming with wildlife. Watch for deer. No rocks anywhere on the trail but watch for the occasional roots, vines and tight turns. The cane brake at the western end of the trail is particularly interesting to ride through.

The trail is split in the middle by a connector taking riders from near the Big Dam Bridge (Cooks Landing) entrance to the large wooden bridge that connects to the river trail and on to more mountain biking trails in Burns Park.
