Description

Brushy Basin is a moderately technical and steep trail connecting Dalton Wells Road with Cedar Mountain and Sovereign.

The trail is a good entry/exit point on the Sovereign - Cedar Mountain loop and is a little less strenuous than the the section of Sovereign that climbs steeply on the south central side of the mountain.

It's hardscrabble territory wherever you go on the Sovereign - Cedar Mountain loop, even on the Brushy Basin descent
