This high desert area is very popular with Farmington riders, and Durango folks getting away from the snow.

Kinsey rolls North along the edge of a valley passing various gas wells and associated infrastructure. The trail tread is sandy but firm and the interest comes from turns and rolling dips.

There are directional signs, and a mysterious trail lettering system that no one understands. The area is under heavy pressure from ATVs but the singletrack is still holding up.

Coming back South, to ride Rigor Mortis.

To reach the trailhead, take Foothills Drive north until it intersects Colibri Place. Parking is prohibited in this area on school days from 7 am to 5 pm. Additional parking can be found where there are no signs, including along Colibri Place to the West.
