Description

This is one of two officially blazed trails in park that features a little more than 6 miles of steep, challenging singletrack. Be prepared for steep climbs up girl scout hill and up to the Buffalo enclosure.

The Trailhead is behind the stop sign at the bottom of the VIP/Ice Skating Rink Lot. The Trail follows the stream, Catfish Run, to the Girl Scout Cabin Field. When you come into the clearing follow the trail to the cabin and turn around before it reenters the woods.

About 75 yards into the woods, make a hard left up out of the valley floor. Near the top make, a left at the fork in the trail. Once you reach the parking lot make a left. After about 100 yards make another left and proceed down almost all the way to Corrigan Dr. Near the bottom, be sure to make a right and follow the trail to McConkey Rd. Cross McConkey Rd at the light and follow the trail which parallels Corrigan Dr until it makes a hard right on its way up to the top of the Buffalo enclosure (Steep and Challenging).

At the top of the hill the trail opens into a gravel parking lot. At a 45 degree angle you'll see the trail heading towards the Buffalo enclosure. Follow the fence line before reentering the woods. Cross Sequi Dr and make left onto current Montour Trail extension down to Corrigan Rd.

Cross Corrigan Rd and make a right turn to Cricket Field Parking Lot. To the right of the basketball hoops the trail opens and starts again. Be careful in this section the trail is steep, rooty and off-camber. Follow it past the Cricket field and up to the exercise path. Continue straight up to, and cross Maple Spring Dr at the break in the guard rail.

Climbing toward the golf course, the trail crosses a service road and drops into the woods in the gravel pull off. Follow it down to the Oliver Miller Homestead and cross Stone Manse Dr. The white blazes will take you up along the golf course before dropping you down to East Park Dr.

At the bottom of the hill you'll cross East Park Dr and drop down to the stream. Cross the bridge and bear left. Follow the white blazes to the water fountain and proceed up hill below the old shelter. The last section of trail parallels Corrigan Dr before it drops you down to the intersection of 100 Acres Dr and Corrigan Dr. The VIP/Ice Skating rink lot will be across the street.
