This is a shared use trail - watch for walkers. Also, mountain bikes are not allowed on upper portions of the Bethune's Gully Track, so do not go beyond the signed turn-around point.

Description

From the picnic area in Bethune's Gully, the marked track heads up the valley. The trail is flat to begin and pleasant along the creek. The In-and-Out Track will come in on your right, followed by the Nationals Track (also on the right) near the bridged creek crossing. Once over the pretty creek, the track climbs, sometimes quite steeply, up the side of the gully. A sign marking the end of the trail for mountain bikes is the spot to decide to go back the way you came, or to descend via Haggis Hunter.
