Description

Although part of the Mass Central Rail trail, this section doesn't follow the railbed, but is a new trail that bypasses non-public parts of the old railroad grade. It is a has short steep sections at either end, with a loose gravel surface in places making it hard to get good traction going up the hill. Part of the trail follows the Wachusett Aqueduct right-of-way and offers a good view of Mount Wachusett to the North.

The western end of the trail is about a mile from the Mill Street Bike Trail, which offer a small network of singletrack, old fire roads, and an unmaintained portion of the old railbed.
