Description

Provides easy travel from RedBox to Newcomb's pass. This is a fire road the whole way, so the grade is moderate and makes for quick travel. Normally I would recommend traveling on the Gabrielino, however sections of that trail are a bushwack and full of the dreaded Poodle-Dog Bush.

Rarely traveled, this fire road passes through several very nice campgrounds and connects with RedBox, the Valley Forge Trail, the Kenyon Devore trail, and the Rim Trail. This road is the best way to travel around the darkside of Mt. Wilson. You really feel the isolation of the mountains on this side of Mt. Wilson.

From this point up, trees blocking the trail constantly. People have trimmed them slightly so you can hike-a-bike and get all the way through. Needs to be cleared.
