Description

Part of the Allatoona Creek Park Mountain Bike Trail System, Turtle Back was the park's first trail, opening on May 19, 2011. It was the first purpose-built mountain bike trail in Cobb County, and its success was a pivotal step in the sport's growth in West Georgia.

The loop is a fast flowing singletrack with fun features and a few tight turns thrown in to keep you on your toes. It is marked with green diamond shaped blazes nailed to trees. The trail includes several rock features, multiple bridges, berms and dips. Turtle Back Loop has beginner elevations with intermediate features making it a good choice for beginners with improved skills and conditioning.

Riding direction changes daily. Check signs at trailhead. Trail may close due to wet conditions. Please check the West Georgia IMBA page for trail status.
