“The National Scenic Trail, Wild Azalea Trail, stretching from Woodworth to Valentine Lake.
”
No restrictions but some portions of the trail see heavy hunting traffic during the fall/winter months.
Need to Know
Fresh water can be scarce. Valentine Lake usually has a drinkable water source at the campground but there won't be anything else available.
Description
This trail has a bit of everything. Plenty of climbing and short, sharp hills with some great scenery along the way. Certain portions of the trail see much more traffic than others which can lead to some overgrown sections.
This isn't a ride that many will do in its entirety but it is worth the time to do at least once. Portions of this trail can be linked with the nearby Kincaid Trail and Lakeshore Trail to make some great loops.
The trail is marked and easy to follow. Prescribed burns from year to year can damage trail markings.
