Description

Elk Meadows is only of the first trails built on Bogus, but is still a great ride. From the Deer Point Trail the trail climbs up a number of switchback with some challenging rock features on the way up the trail. You'll leave the switchbacks and come out of the trees and have some amazing views out across the mountains. On a clear day you can see the Sawtooths way off in the distance.

From here, the trail descends across meadows and then heads back into the trees. There is one more brisk climb and then the trail traverses underneath Superior Lift and around the backside. The trail then comes to an end on an old cat track. From here, you have the option to continue on to the lodge, or you can connect to the Around the Mountain trail by heading down the cat track.
