Description

This is a fire road loop with several optional routes. It has very steep ups and downs on loose fire roads. You can start at Castle Rock Recreation Area, Old Borges Ranch or at the north end of Stage Road/south end of Castle Rock Trail. Every intersection seems to say that multiple directions are Shell Ridge Loop Trail because it seems the network of trails on this hill are all part of the "loop".
