Description
Reservoir Trail begins near the Snowflake Lift bottom terminal at the intersection of
Four O'Clock Road and King's Crown Road on the west side of Breckenridge. There is a large sign that reads Snowflake Trailhead near
Four O'Clock Road, and Reservoir Trail begins at the south side of the Snowflake Lift to a subdivision ski access trail.
Sawmill Trail also begins near here, but is no bikes (electric or regular) until you reach C-Chair.
From the Snowflake Trailhead, climb the grassy ski run for 0.5 miles. You'll cross over a bridge and go behind some houses to make it to the Sawmill Reservoir, a nice little lake with a good view of the mountains. Take the gravel road to go around the south side reservoir, and once you reach the west side of the reservoir, you can climb westward up to the C-Chair area to access the
Sawmill Trail, or continue on the Reservoir Trail northward.
The trail can be a little confusing on this west side of the lake, look for the timber bridge in the woods to continue the Reservoir Trail. Cross this bridge riding almost due north. The trail crosses through a clearing then intersects
Four O'Clock trail at a three-way junction.
