Description
The trail starts at just off of the intersection of Moscow Mountain Road and Foothills Road. Starting in the clearing closed to vehicle traffic, enter the trail to the south noted by the tree with the "Please Respect Private Property, No Motorized Use" Sign. The top is in in open Ponderosa/Douglas Fir mixed woods with a few minor technical features. As the trail descends it crosses Moscow Mountain Road.
Here the trail descends through Cedars with more roots and some minor rock features. About half way through the trail there are a few intersections all of which you'll stay to the right (if you don't, you'll pop out a minor road immediately and it is easy to retrace back to the trail). Soon the trail undulates with a few steep little punches followed by one longer climb intersecting with Moscow Mountain Road once again. Across the road the trail continues up the embankment. Follow the trail up the slight incline a few hundred yards then continue through the open Ponderosa woods to the end of the trail at the next intersection with Moscow Mountain Road.
The trail can be ridden either direction. There is parking a quarter of a mile down Moscow Mountain Road from the bottom of the trail, as well as, at the intersection of Rock Creek Road and Moscow Mountain Road, near the top of the trail.
