Description

The trails split into the three different choices immediately after crossing the creek from the parking area. We rode up the western most trail which follows Feather Creek for a little over a mile before turning and climbing up to meet the other trails on the ridge. The trail meets up with the Feather Creek Loop Trail - Inner 2.5 miles into the ride. Here you could ride down to complete the smaller 5 mile loop, but we turned left and continued north up the ridge to the top of Feather Creek Loop Trail - Outer. The descent off the top of the ridge down the eastern most section of the system is fun, really fun. Playful, well built, scenic and isolated.

Big cedars, moss and vine maples make up much of the vegetation down into the Laguna Creek drainage. After descending, the Feather Creek Loop Trail - Outer levels out along Laguna Creek and follows the creek back to the trailhead. Here you can continue back up to do another loop, or stop by the car for a lunch or beer.

Lots of smaller trees over the trail. Most easy to get over except for one huge group of big trees over the trail near the summit. 12.5mi
