Description
Tight singletrack with some more challenging sections is the name of the game here. The trail is marked as one way as described below. It is a bit harder overall than the other trails here, but nothing that should keep anyone off of it because those sections are short and easily walked. Due to rerouting, what was once called several trails is now more easily understood as a single trail. This trail includes parts of the historic Annex and Fawn Ridge Trails.
Start off on the Huffman Park soccer fields and follow the trail for 100ft into the woods and take a right onto the road and over the Rocky River. A hundred feet later the trail takes a hairpin turn to the right back onto the singletrack. From here follow the trail along the river and then up a short steep hill. At the top of this hill the rerouted trail then drops down to the right. Follow signs and generally take rights and you'll continue close to the river for over a mile.
There are a couple of places where you can cut off sections of the trail if you want, but the main trail is well marked. Once you stop following the river, the trail gets drier and faster for the second half of the trail. Eventually you'll be right next to a road and right behind a short guardrail. This is where you would cross the E Reagan Parkway to get to the Reagan Park Trail as suggested in the
Medina Huffman and Reagan Park Trails featured ride. Otherwise, head past this and generally ride parallel to the road until you meet back up with the beginning of the trail.
