Overview
Mt. Adams is a short MTB trail accessed from Alpharetta's Big Creek Greenway and provides fun for families and beginner mountain bikers. The
Easy Trail is mostly flat and circumnavigates the perimeter. The
More Difficult Trail heads up on the hill and presents riders with more roots and requires a little more bike handling skills.
Need to Know
You can only get to the trail from the Alpharetta Big Creek Greenway. The trailhead is located between the Alpharetta YMCA and Webb Bridge Road.
Description
This is a very flat, easy mountain bike trail, even for the beginner. It will give riders a taste of riding on singletrack and will help build confidence and bike handling skills. The trail is very short, so you'll not be challenged by distance or climbing.
The best place to park for the trail is in the Alpharetta YMCA parking lot. Take the Alpharetta Greenway north for about 3/4 mile to see the trailhead which is marked with a "Mt. Adams MTB trail" sign.
History & Background
One of the first trails build by RAMBO.
