Description

Trail starts at an intersection with 1971 and ends, after crossing a fire road, at an intersection with Idiot's Run. The trail gets pretty steep in sections and goes through some quick turns.

At the first intersection, stay left. Cross the fire road, cross The Great Escape, and finally after passing the camp site shelter, go left to end on Idiot's Run.

Try it in reverse for some pretty steep climbing!

I rode Dirty Ridge from Lake Hydaway to the top and turned around and rode it back down. Fairly steep, but doable climb - fun fast downhill. 3.5mi — 1h 00m

Dry and hard packed but plenty of rocks and roots. I suggest the decent but with a drop post.
