Galbraith Mountain is privately owned but trails are created and maintained by WMBC. Galbraith is open to non-motorized users except for hunting and fishing. The area is an ongoing site for logging operations so visitors should be on the lookout for temporary trail closures. Trails are multi-use; expect traffic in both directions and yield to hikers and equestrian users.

Description

Although Back Door is an exit trail linking SST to Birch Falls Way, it's in no way a let down. Instead, the first half continues the fun from SST with more singletrack and doubles. A sharp rock armored roll down signals the second half of Back Door which travels through a creek zone.

Because of the extra moisture, this part of the trail is often slicker even muddy. The end of Back Door makes a short abrupt rise around some concrete blocks before exiting onto Birch Falls Way. Head left and then a right down the hill. This is a residential area, so be cautious of vehicles and pedestrians.
