This is part of the SM100 descent off of Chestnut Ridge via The Wild Oak Trail (TWOT) to aid station 6. This trail is a wide and easy descent compared to the other sections of trail in this neck of the woods. Ascending the trail can give you access to the Grindstone Mountain and Chestnut Ridge sections of The Wild Oak Trail (TWOT).

This trail is commonly ridden, well marked and easy to find with lots of parking spots and free primitive camping at the bottom
