Description
There is parking at the entrance, you can leave your car there no problem. The trail starts north northeast and is very easy to find. There is also a sign right at the start that tells you the distances of the different sections.
Following the trail is a no-brainer. At around km 3.2, you have to make sure you keep on going straight and cross through the doubletrack so you can stay on the trail, however, if you choose to skip that section (called La Pila) and make a right on the doubletrack, you save about a kilometer and rejoin the singletrack a few hundred meters ahead.
Right at kilometer 5.5, there is a new section called "Los Cactus Muertos." You can either take it by going left at the marker (the switchbacks are easily spotted), or keep straight on the standard trail. It is a series of switchbacks that climb to a very technical section of the trail, it is definitely worth riding.
Beware of the "Roller Coaster" at km 10, it is a very high speed downhill and although it is rideable, it takes a little practice.
Enjoy the trail and don't leave any trash please, this is a very sensitive ecosystem.
