This trail is very busy with hikers even on weekdays

Description

Mesquite starts on the east side of White Tank Mountain Road at the main trailhead and quickly heads west and crosses the paved road. Continue on through some picnic areas and another paved road. At mile 1, the trail starts to climb.

The climb is long and technical featuring several tight switchbacks, many old rock waterbars/ steps, and many hikers. The climb is a good challenge with many rideable sections, but also has some hike-a-bike for most riders. A bit after mile 3 the trail becomes much less technical and the last 1.5 miles are very climbable but with long sustained grades.

At the top of this trail you'll connect with the Ford Canyon Trail (lots of hiking to be had) and Goat Camp Trail (a pretty serious DH trail).

WOW! What a climb. Pretty easy trail first 1.5 miles, than a up hill battle. It's not too technical of a climb but it just keeps going up and up! 6mi — 1h 30m
