The start of this trail is at the road where there is nice parking and a connection to the Old 1916 Trail #537. The Pacific Crest Trail also crosses the road at this location and heads SW and SE. This trail is an outer loop that passes by the horse camp and connects with the Miller Trail #534 where it crosses the Pacific Crest Trail at the end. Don't follow the PCT, pass by it on your way to Miller Trail #534 if you are on a bike. Riding clockwise, it's a mostly easy climb up and around with a nice descent into the meadows and the creek areas.

There are bathrooms in the horse camp near the start of this trail at the western end.
