Description

The GSL is one of the best trails that Palo Duro has to offer. From the trailhead there is a short climb that spits you out into a short technical section but it is over before you start. Every up has a down on this trail and reward is always waiting for you on the GSL.

At about 1.5 miles in you'll reach Red Star Ridge is a beautifully scenic overlook that has a great view of the iconic Lighthouse Hoodoo. Further down the trail is the cutoff for Little Fox Loop, this is a short lollipop that is a must do, or you can continue onto Cottonwood Flats and end the GSL trail at Lighthouse. You can take the out-n-back to the Lighthouse, or you can take the Lighthouse Trail to the Lighthouse Trail to link up with more of the trails.
