Description

The Stanley Lake Creek Trail starts at Stanley Lake and will take you to the Sawtooth Wilderness Boundary. This ride is a great out and back to Bridelvail Falls or a connection with the Bench Creek trail.

From Stanley Lake, the trail goes through a large meadow along a creek before entering into some woods. From this point, you'll come in and out of the woods as you climb towards the falls. You'll have views of McGowen Peak to the east as you climb. The falls will be on the west side of the trail and are pretty obvious. This is a great place to stop for a break to take the waterfalls in.

Beyond the waterfalls, you'll come to the Bench Creek Trail. If you are doing a long loop then this is where you'll turn off. From this point, it is just a short ways to the Wilderness boundary. If you brought some hiking shoes hide your bike in the bushes and continue on. Otherwise, you must turn around. With hiking shoes, you can access Observation peak which has some expansive views.
