Description

An optional detour from the Hemlock Trail along a wide gravel doubletrack climb to a park bench and small view. After the view, the trail turns to singletrack with the occasional tech including a knotted root section before crossing the Hemlock Trail near the Salal Trail intersection.

Huckleberry Trail gets noticeably more difficult on the other side of the Hemlock Trail. This newer section features a half mile of constant steep grade that's a calf burner. At the top of this grade, the trail offers a short reprieve before that third of a mile of rolling terrain to where it connects with Raptor Ridge.
