Lower Wanderer section not permissible for riding during ski hours (8am-4pm November - early-April).
Overview
This is a super fun loop that showcases some of Stratton's closest gravel-grinder roads through the Quarter Mile & North Brookwood communities, before dumping riders onto the Lower Wander ski trail for a fast & flowy descent back to the Village.
Make sure to stop for a photo with the red covered Snow Bridge!
Description
Starting at First Run ski & bike shop, ride through Stratton Village to the flag circle. Head right onto the Access Road & turn left into Lot 1. At the far end of Lot 1, take the pedestrian path towards the Stratton Training & Fitness Center. When the Fitness Center is in sight, look to your left & take a quick ride down the pedestrian path to Quarter Mile Road.
Ride Quarter Mile Road until you see Hickory Rd (your second right) for a speedy recovery downhill, then a quick left onto North Branch Road. Gear down and pedal up North Branch until you reach the Access Road again. Here, turn left & access the pedestrian path until you meet up with N. Brookwood Rd on your right.
Catch your breath here for a minute, as the next half-mile is a steady climb up to the Snow Bridge. Don't forget to stop and take in this picturesque, red covered bridge (only a handful in VT)! Cut down onto
Lower Wanderer ski trail for a rolling descent to the base area & back to 1st Run.
