A fun alternative to Peavine. There are some great views of the Sierras from the top of the loop, but it can be a bit loose at times. This is a very popular place for 4x4's and dirt bikes. A lot of the singletrack has been torn up by the dirt bikes, and the trails need to have some maintenance.

Take Exit 5 off Hwy 80 and park on the east side of the road. Do the loop counterclockwise, climbing singletrack and then fire road. You'll get to the top of the fire road, and then take a left and head south down a valley towards the start.

This section is pretty fun with some fast, swooping turns and switchbacks, but it can be loose at times. Some of these fast swooping corners have been by passed by the dirt bikes.
