Overview
This is a combination of mowed trails in the open areas and great flowing dirt singletrack in the woods. Grinding climbs followed by ripping descents.
This trail is regarded as one of the most challenging in central and eastern North Dakota, mainly because of its relentless climbing. After climbing out of the valley, you are rewarded with some awesome descents, however.
Need to Know
Pit toilet and bike repair station available at trailhead. No water available.
Description
Maintained weekly by Jamestown Park and Rec Dept, this trail has been in place for over 10 years. The soil is mainly black dirt and clay, so it is a mess when wet.
The trail is relatively smooth, but with a good mixture of flowing trail, and some rock gardens to keep you honest. The complete trail is very easy to follow, with no risk of getting lost.
Expect ride time to range from 35 minutes to well over an hour depending on your fitness and technical ability.
Weekly group rides on Wednesday nights.
Keep your eyes open for wildlife. Deer are almost always present.
