Description

This trail starts as a moderate climb up Dry Creek and will take you across open meadows and up fairly mellow grades. This trail is not heavily traveled, so keep and eye out to make sure you are on the trail and have not been tricked into some goat path. Especially pay attention in those areas with switchbacks it is vital to keep an eye out for the actual path since it will end up saving you a lot of time.

As the trees thin out, the trail will become steeper. The last part is just a steep climb up and over the top with lots of elevation gain in a very short amount of time. The trail ends at Dry Creek Pass.

Beware of thunderstorm conditions as you crest the saddle since there is little protection on the upper parts of the trail.

In those sections where the trail is faint look out for rock cairns to guide your way.
