Description

This is a straight shot down the Bear Canyon Arroyo. The trail surface is hard-packed sand. It can be done in reverse, or as an out-and-back. A good loop is from Tramway - just ride up to the trailhead before bombing down to Juan Tabo and climbing back to the start. Make sure to bring extra tubes - trails in New Mexico eat tires.

Trailhead: From I-40, head North on Tramway for about 6 miles to Spain Rd NE. Turn right (east) on Spain and follow for 0.9 miles. Turn right on High Desert Street and follow for about 500 ft. The trailhead is on the right. Parking is limited. Water is available.
