Description

Gunsight Pass is a massive climb with over 3,000ft of vert topping out at over 12,000ft in elevation. This high alpine road is brutal with loose rock and an even steeper hike a bike near the end.

The views are stellar and is the best way to access the length of Scarp Ridge Trail. This road also makes for a great training ride or for a multi-sport summit hike of Mt. Emmons (Red Lady). Once at the top of the pass, there is a primitive hiking trail heading left up the ridge toward the summit.

It's loose but rideable until the last mile where the hike-a-bike begins. Not a great ride, but is worth it for the challenge and fantastic views. 13mi
