Description

From the Rainbow Dam Trailhead, follow the well-signed trail down the Missouri River along the bluffs and canyons above Cochrane, Ryan, and Morony Dam Reservoirs. The gravel surface road along half the route is also open to bikes for an easier choice.

This ride cam be ridden as a shuttle. On normal windy days, a strong tail wind makes the shuttle ride like a 12.5 mile long downhill run.

Most of these trails were hand built by Great Falls bicyclists, for bicyclists. Lots of ups, downs, twists and turns keep the trail challenging and interesting.

Basically continuous overlooks of the dams, cliffs, great falls, and reservoirs along the way.

Awesome intermediate trail! Flowy singletrack with some technical aspects scattered in. The trail is kept up very well. This is definitely a redo. — 1h 30m
