Description

Finding great views in the Bitterroot isn't all that challenging, still the view at the end of the trail is one of the best with sheer cliffs dropping into the expanse of glacially carved Bear Creek drainage with Sky Pilot and it's headwalls surrounding the canyon.

Luckily, getting there involves two miles of fun singletrack. Not too steep, not too rocky, just fun a fun climb and a rewarding descent back to the trailhead.

My favorite time is to ride is in the evening. Head up to watch the sunset, and still be back to the car before it too dark to see.

Impromptu evening ride, beautiful day, excellent downhill is worth the ride up, and so is the view! needs trail maintenance... lots of log fall. 4.8mi
