Description

The Lake Terrace Road is part of a new network of trails called Empire Trails located in Spirit Lake, Idaho.

This is an old logging road that has turned into some great doubletrack. You get to the trailhead by riding up the M41 logging road about a 1/4 mile from the Empire Trails parking lot. The Road winds its way along the southern mountain slopes in and out of draws and ridges on a hard packed dirt / gravel base.

As you round the ridges, the road gives way to some great views of Spirit Lake and the surrounding mountains. It climbs and descends a few times before it dead ends. If you get to the dead end, you'll need to double back and find the trail heads for Pin Ball Trail or Bronze Bay Trail to continue this fun cross-country trail experience.

After your ride, stop in and have some great food & beverages in Spirit Lake.
