Continuing from Jesus Saves, the North Rim Trail begins to descend from the top of the hill. There are a couple sections of rooting drops and sandy landings to keep you on your toes. There are numerous, smaller trails that branch off of this that are either used by hikers or end in rutted, abandoned descents. Stick to the main trail, which will lead you to a fun series of switchbacks as you come off of the hill.

At the bottom, the trail transitions to a section nicknamed Dingo, which weaves tightly between trees as it skirts a prairie section. At its end, the trail dumps you out an abandoned section of Old Point Douglas Road.
