Two-way trail.
Description
This trail begins on the abandoned Point Douglas Road and will end at the overlook by Highway 61 and Warner Rd. It's out and back, with a gradual climb as you get closer to the overlook.
Heading toward the overlook from the abandoned road, look for the trail entrance on your right before the pavement ends. The singletrack noodles around an old farmstead before crossing the road. Hikers wear a path runs straight up a grassy section. Be sure to follow the singletrack, which deviates from the hiker trail. Curvy is more fun than straight, right? About 3/4 of the way up the trail, there is a playground of technical features that includes a long foundation wall skinny, several concrete drops, and crumbling steps.
Near the end, be sure to enjoy the overlook before heading back down. Watch your speed and keep a careful eye out for hikers and other bikers. Some of the turns have poor sight lines. It's best to avoid collisions.
To continue onto
Big Wheezy, from Point Douglas Rd, take the left onto
North Rim / Dingo until you see the connector trail that splits off on the right. The connector trail runs along an old driveway and then takes a sandy run between the weeds. This will take you to the lower parking lot. Follow Point Douglas Rd S until you see
Big Wheezy on the left.
A little ways beyond the North Rim /Dingo and connector trail split you'll encounter a technical drop down a sandstone ledge you can take, which will spit you out onto the connector trail.
