Description
Lakeview Trail begins by the dam of the lake right at the parking lot between the
Fire Road and a recreational fishing trail and switchbacks up the hill then crosses
Fire Road twice before staying on a nice bench for the next 5 miles. The beginning of the trail features a couple of large meadows before finally entering the woods for good. After the last meadow,
Jungle Pass cuts up the hill to the
Fire Road making a nice little singletrack climb up to the road if you want to check that out.
There are a few technical expert features which have rotted away that land managers promise to get going again soon, but the entire singletrack length is rideable by anyone. It has some really beautiful, fun sections where you can really build up some speed. A few of the ravine crossings can trip you up, and there are some hateful short climbs, but you'll love this trail overall. At one point, you come straight to an old cemetery then take a hard right (don't go into the cemetery).
