Description

The Blackhawk Trail traverses a variety of landscapes, ranging from open meadows to shaded woodlands. The trail offers beautiful views of the surrounding mountains while maintaining a moderately steady elevation, making for an enjoyable trip.

The trail is very popular with equestrians, especially as horses are allowed at Blackhawk Campground. Sections of the trail are also popular with mountain bikers. The Blackhawk trail forms the backbone of a network of trails along the Mount Nebo National Scenic Byway. Most use occurs at the northern end of the trail; at times the southern end can be difficult to follow.
