Description

Start at the intersection of South Hills Rd. and South Hills Dr. The trail parallels South Hills Dr. at a mellow grade. Soon the trail becomes steeper and more wooded as you continue the climb. Tight trees and narrow singletrack carved into the edge of the mountain make this trail earn it's easy/intermediate rating - there are no technical obstacles.

A sharp left turn and rock formation mark the end of the climb. Drop your post and enjoy the flowy descent through the trees. There are a number of switchbacks with fast sections in between - watch your speed as the switchbacks are tight and a few of them are difficult to spot. The trail ends at Martinez Gulch Rd. and connects with Eddy McClure West, which leads to Mt. Ascension.
