Family Friendly An easy paved trail with many spots to stop and enjoy the view or have a picnic with the kids.

In a California State Park the speed limit for bikes is 15 miles per hour. On this side of the lake, only the pavement is legal for bikes.

Description

This smooth paved standard bike path runs the length of the north side of Lake Natoma, from Nimbus Dam to Negro Bar Recreation Area/Old Folsom. There are a couple of mild climbs and many curves.

At either end of the trail, you can connect to the rest of the American River Bike Trail or make a loop with either the paved or dirt trail on the south (Hwy 50/Folsom Blvd) side of the lake. If you combine the north side pavement with the south side dirt you'll be riding the Lake Natoma Loop.
