A great ride on singletrack with a tight, challenging climb, and a fun, flowy descent.
Need to Know
Please stay on the marked trail as the surrounding area is private property.
Description
This is an out and back trail with a loop at the top. It is a tight singletrack trail, with great flow on the way back down. It involves a long climb, a loop at the top, and then a tight, fast downhill on the way back down. There are nice views of the town of Dorset about 2/3 of the way up the climb.
There is no parking at the trailhead. Park at the Green in the town of Dorset, then ride out Church Street to the end of the street. Turn left onto Dorset West Road, ride approximately 150 feet and look for the trail entrance to
Humphrey's Trail on the right. Stay on the main trail; the few trails that branch off are all private property.
Humphrey's Trail is a steady, tight, and sometimes steep climb on the way out. As you wind your way through the trees, you'll encounter several boardwalks, and a view of the town of Dorset on your way up. Once up the climb, take a right onto
Bunker Loop.
Enjoy a quick, but fun, ride through the trees on
Bunker Loop. The first half of the loop is a steady but not steep climb. Be ready for a short, steep descent around .6 miles to drop you back down to connect with
Humphrey's Trail where you can head back the way you came with a fast, flowy descent on
Humphrey's Trail.
