An easy trail that serves as a great introduction to mountain biking.
Description
You can access this trail from the parking lot located at the trailhead near the entrance to the tunnel going under Hayes Arboretum Road. The first segment of the Blue Trail is referred to as "blue warm up" and is a fast, rolling section containing sweeping turns. You'll pass through the wetlands area and pond before crossing the first gravel access road.
Once across the gravel access road, you enter the main segment of the Blue Trail. This area is known as the "fast flats" as this section is made up of smooth trail with a series of tight turns and short straights.
As you progress into the woods, you'll begin to climb a number of long, gradual switchbacks. You'll cross the boy scout bridge on your way to the top and encounter a number of log crossings along the way. Once you have reached the top, take the time to explore the Indian Mound and catch your breath on one of the benches.
The Blue Trail was designed as a beginner level trail which is great for experts as well.
