Description

Hot Saw is a moderate singletrack climb on the back side of Mt. Ashwabay. Hot Saw can be ridden as a loop or as a means to provide access to Trogdor and Dirt Lip from the Whiting Rd. trailhead. Look for the transmission line at Whiting Rd. to find the trailhead. Hot Saw will also provide access to further trails currently under construction.

Most of the trail is wooded. However, there are some small logged areas which provide a nice view of Chequamegon bay. There are a couple sandy stretches of the climb which will put your feet on the ground if you do not downshift in time.

If you start your ride at Whiting Rd., you can first stop by the Ski Hill Rd. trailhead to pick up a paper map. Visit cambatrails.org/ for more information.

The Hooten Hollow was a pretty tough climb with a down that rivals the Frequency trail in Crested Butte's Evolution Bike Park without the table tops! 7.4mi
