Description

The North Face drops off the Elm Ridge Trail with a fury and takes you out to Pelham Road near Route 23. It's a steep, advanced trail and an alternative exit from the trail system.

To descend the North Face trail begin at the intersection of Big T and West Gauntlet and pass the intersection with the Levitate trail where you'll start losing elevation fast. After it crosses Chase Drive, it becomes relatively flat and follows the river course to Pelham Road.

Note that if you are climbing on the Levitate, you turn left onto a short segment of North Face to reach the upper trails.
