Do NOT ride when wet! Clay trail surface becomes extremely slippery after a rain. There is no traction for climbing or braking. Please wait 48 hours after a heavy rain before attempting this trail.

Description

The long narrow bridge marking the entrance to Gator Back is the first obstacle and an example of the level of skill necessary for the rest of the trail. After a short warm up, enter a few short climbs onto the 50 ridge. A series of undulating bench-cuts keeps your heart pumping with a sharp drop near the end.

Start climbing again to a 60 ridge. Negotiate a climbing switchback onto a steep wooden skinny climb onto to a narrow bridge with an incredible view of the swamp. The trail follows 60 ridges with steep descents and climbs -- very aerobic.

Look out for 3 drop-offs and rooty climbs until exiting onto Bridges.
