Description

Guacamole is a fun, fun trail with lots of dips, turns, and stunts. There is plenty of slickrock on this first loop. The layout of the trail is a little easier to follow as rock cairns have been put up to help navigation, but it is still easy to lose the cairns as the route dips and weaves around cool features. Most folks ride this in a clockwise direction, but you could try it either way.

If you don't wear knee pads, this might be the best place to start for beginner/intermediate riders. Nothing hurts worse than falling over and smashing a knee on the slickrock!

Riding Guacamole, you have a great view of West Temple and Mount Kinesava in Zion National Park.

A typical roll down and example of the rock mounds the trail rides on and around. Riders without skill or confidence to ride down, or up these features may be frustrated by being forced of their bike on a fairly regular basis. Short of a couple squeezes too narrow for bars/pedals, its all rideable.

I used to listen to The HooDoo Gurus in high school, and now I'm riding with them. Looking east towards Zion. The greenish mound on the left of the picture is the edge of the cinder cone. Fun ride.
